New Hire Enrollment

You have 30 days from your date of hire to enroll in your benefits through Workday. Please review this website for detailed information on your choices.

You are automatically enrolled in several Green Dot benefits at no cost to you:

  • Basic Life Insurance
  • Short-Term Disability
  • Long-Term Disability

If you don’t take action within 30 days of hire, you will default into certain Green Dot benefit plans for the 2022 – 2023 plan year.

New hire default coverage for 2023 – 2024 if you don’t enroll
California/National/UPAS
  • Medical: Anthem Vivity HMO Plan at the Employee Only coverage level
  • Dental: MetLife HMO Dental Plan at the Employee Only coverage level
  • Vision: VSP Vision Plan at the Employee Only coverage level

* National employees located outside of CA will default to “no coverage”.

Important: Once your initial 30-day enrollment period ends, you cannot make benefit changes until Green Dot’s next Annual Open Enrollment period unless you experience a qualified life event such as birth, marriage, or divorce. Benefit changes due to a qualified life event must be completed within 30 days of the event; otherwise, you will have to wait until the next Annual Open Enrollment period.
